Net pay

Calculate a truck driver's net pay

The table wage is gross. See your take-home pay by entering your monthly wage in the main calculator — it computes taxes, TyEL and other deductions with 2026 tax tables.

Estimate of monthly earnings: hourly wage × hours worked (e.g. 160 h/month). This is indicative — actual pay depends on hours, overtime and separate allowances.

The special allowance covers e.g. crane trucks, the 34.50 m HCT combination, lowloaders, waste trucks, forest haulage of timber with a loader, milk vacuum collection, underground transport and permit-based special transport.

About transport wages

How is a transport-sector wage structured?

The truck-transport collective agreement sets minimum hourly wages by vehicle class: the larger the vehicle combination and the more demanding the licence class, the higher the pay. Wages rose 2.9% from 1 June 2026. For example, a full-trailer combination driver earns more than a van or car driver.

Pay increases with years of service in four steps: under 4 years, 4–8 years, 8–12 years and over 12 years. On top of the hourly wage, separate allowances are paid as a percentage of the table wage: evening work 15%, night work 20% and day-off work 100%. International traffic uses its own table wage that may be raised by 8%.
