Privacy Policy
Updated 18 May 2026. This policy describes what personal data Nettopalkkasi.fi processes and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
§ 01
Data Controller

§ 02
Data we process
The salary calculator itself runs entirely in your browser — we never store salary, municipality or age data on our servers. We process only your anonymised IP, browser type, operating system and referrer through technical logs and analytics. With your consent, Google Analytics 4 collects anonymous usage statistics and Google AdSense may use cookies for ad personalisation.
§ 03
Legal basis and purpose
The legal bases are our legitimate interest (technical operation of the service) and your consent (analytics, advertising). We use data to improve the service, fix bugs and target ads.
§ 04
Retention
Technical logs are retained for up to 30 days. Analytics data is retained for 14 months per GA4 defaults.
§ 05
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct inaccurate data, request erasure and portability, restrict and object to processing, and withdraw consent. You can lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi) or with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (aki.ee), which is Borignis OÜ's lead supervisory authority under the GDPR.

Automated decision-making
Nettopalkkasi.fi does not carry out automated decision-making or profiling based on your personal data within the meaning of GDPR Article 22. The calculator result is a statistical estimate, not an official decision.
§ 07
Advertising and third parties
We use Google AdSense ads and Google Analytics. Google may transfer data to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Manage ad preferences at adssettings.google.com. Vercel acts as our technical hosting partner (eu-west-1).
§ 08
Counting clicks on partner links
The site may carry labelled partner slots. When you click a partner link it passes through nettopalkkasi.fi/go/, which forwards you to the partner's site. At that point we count four things on our server: the partner's identifier, a timestamp, the path of the page the link was clicked from (the link's from parameter plus the referrer the browser sends), and the browser's user agent string, which we use to tell search-engine robots from people. We do not store the query string of the address, so what you typed into the calculator — pay, municipality, age band, year and church membership — never reaches these logs. The count uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, and we do not link a click to a person or to your other visits. The number tells us and the partner only how many times the link has been clicked and from which page.

We use essential cookies (language and consent preferences, localStorage) and, with your consent, analytics/advertising cookies (_ga, _gid, NID). You can change your consent by clearing your browser cookies.
