Allowances apply from 1 June 2026. A worker with a vocational qualification moves to at least wage group IV, and one with a specialist qualification to group V. The holiday bonus is 18.5% (14.0% for some) and is not used in the net-pay calculation.

How is a painter's wage structured?
The painting and floor-laying collective agreement sets minimum time wages in six wage groups (I, IB, II, III, IV and V). The wage group is set by the demands of the tasks, skill and experience. Wages rose 2.9% from 1 June 2026.
The time wage rises from €12.60 (group I) to €19.92 (group V). A vocational qualification adds €0.54/h and moves the worker to at least group IV; a specialist qualification adds €0.91/h and raises them to group V. The holiday bonus is 18.5% (14.0% for some). Check your own wage group with your employer or shop steward.
