Bus driver pay in Finland 2026: AKT TES wage table
From 1 June 2026 the TES hourly wage for a bus driver is 16.69–17.78 €/h depending on years of service. In the HSL area it is 18.41–20.30 €/h and in Turku 17.82–19.56 €/h. Below you will find the full wage table, the agreed pay rises, evening and night allowances and a net pay example.

Net pay
How much does a bus driver take home?
For example, with an hourly wage of 17.78 €/h (general table, over 12 years) and 160 hours a month, gross pay is 2 845 € and net pay about 2 335 € a month.

Bus driver pay rises 2025–2027
The bus staff collective agreement (TES) is valid until 31 Jan 2028. Wages rise in three general increases during the period. The 2027 rise applies unless the agreement is terminated to end on 31 January 2027 (notice by 31 December 2026).

Evening and night allowance
The evening allowance is 15% of the table wage for work between 18:00 and 22:00, and the night allowance 20% for work between 22:00 and 06:00. In HSL and Föli contracted transport the night allowance is 30%.

- Wages rise by a general increase of 2.4% from 1 June 2027, or from the start of the pay period nearest after it, unless the collective agreement is terminated to end on 31 January 2027. Notice must be given by 31 December 2026, in which case the rise agreed for 2027 lapses. Earlier increases were 2.5% from 1 March 2025 and 2.9% from 1 June 2026. The collective agreement is valid until 31 Jan 2028.
- How much is the night allowance for bus drivers?
- The night allowance is 20% of the table wage for work between 22:00 and 06:00, and the evening allowance 15% for work between 18:00 and 22:00. In HSL and Föli contracted transport the night allowance is 30%. For example, on a table wage of 17.78 €/h the general night allowance is 3.56 €/h.
